Jaguaribe Valley at the Agribusiness Core: Limoeiro do Norte Hosts Coalizão Agro 2026 to Debate the Technological Revolution in the Field
LIMOEIRO DO NORTE – The Jaguaribe Valley, historically recognized as one of the most fertile and strategic territories for the primary economy of the Brazilian Northeast, will transform over the coming days into the ultimate epicenter for debates on the future of farming. Limoeiro do Norte, a host city that features some of the state’s leading high-tech agricultural and livestock projects, will welcome Coalizão Agro 2026. The event is conceived and coordinated by Carlos Matos, former Secretary of Irrigated Agriculture of Ceará, with the purpose of mapping structural challenges, major market trends, and expansion opportunities for Ceará’s agribusiness.
Under the central theme “Driving the Future of Agribusiness through Innovation and Knowledge,” the gathering is promoted by Sallto Educação, the Foundation for Culture and Support to Teaching, Research, and Extension (Funcepe), and the Fátima Freires Educational Cultural and Social Assistance Institution. The entire technical program is completely free of charge, and digital registration is already open via the link available in the biography of the official profile @coalizaoagronordeste.
For the CTN Hub corporate ecosystem, the choice of this municipality reinforces the regional prominence of the Jaguaribe area in attracting private investments and driving the transition toward Industry 4.0 in the field.
Innovation and Strategic Verticals: From Shrimp Farming to Fruit Production
The schedule for Coalizão Agro 2026 was designed with an absolute focus on sustainability, productivity efficiency gains, and the strengthening of the state’s main value chains. Business leaders and industry scientists will spearhead panels focused on high-added-value sectors, including water security, banana cultivation, fruit production, and the dairy supply chain.
Among the prominent names already confirmed within the speaker and panelist lineup are:
- Ricardo Pedroza: CEO of Camarões do Brasil, a benchmark in high-performance marine protein production;
- Fábio Régis de Albuquerque: Agronomist, founder of Sítio Barreiras, and one of the leading national authorities on intensive banana production in the Northeast;
- Andrew Jones: Partner-owner of Ajagro, a corporation specialized in development and consulting for high-productivity dairy farming.
The Productivity Revolution: Reduced Cycles and Elite Genetics
Event coordinator Carlos Matos shared with our portal the goals and technical data underpinning this edition’s panels. The primary objective is to demonstrate how technological integration can shatter traditional production barriers and multiply the profitability of Ceará’s producers:
- Export Shrimp: “Ceará has already solidified itself as the largest shrimp producer in Brazil, but our technical focus now is to boost productivity per hectare and unlock new entry channels into the international market.”
- Accelerating Beef Cattle Farming: “The beef supply chain is experiencing a turning point with the installation of the Masterboi industrial meatpacking plant in Iguatu, in the Center-South region. Through intensive production systems and strategic feedlot operations, we will reduce cattle raising time—which averages about three years nationally—to just a year and a half in Ceará.”
- Productivity Leap in Dairy: “The ultimate challenge in dairy farming is productivity. While the state’s current average hovers around 1,500 liters per cow/year, there are technological production systems integrating elite genetics, precision nutrition, and animal welfare capable of reaching up to 13,000 liters per cow/year. This is a true structural revolution.”
Market Connections and Institutional Alignment
Beyond the transfer of scientific knowledge, Coalizão Agro 2026 will function as an in-person hub for networking, roundtables, and business articulation, bringing local producers closer to major investment funds, technology providers, and representatives from the credit ecosystem.
The robustness of the event is backed by an extensive support network bridging the public sector, academia, and primary corporate trade associations. The forum counts on the strategic partnership of the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará (FIEC), the National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI), Banco do Nordeste (BNB), Banco do Brasil, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), the Association of Mayors of Ceará (APRECE), Ceasa, Sebrae, and Senar. It also receives support from the Legislative Assembly, the Government of the State of Ceará, and the municipalities of Limoeiro do Norte, Quixeré, and Maracanaú, alongside leading brands such as Integral Mix, Sítio Barreiras, and Solarisa Brasil.
According to Carlos Matos, this institutional unity is the only path capable of accelerating regional socioeconomic development: “More than an event, we want to build a permanent space for articulation and dialogue, stimulating solutions that contribute to expanding the sector’s competitiveness, generating job opportunities, and driving Ceará’s sustainable growth.”
The Strategic Link with the CTN Hub
